City Council meetings are held every first and third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 20 North Main. These meetings are open to the public and all interested citizens are encouraged to attend. Scouts working on their Citizenship in the Community merit badge can attend a Council meeting to count toward their merit badge. Anyone interested in receiving an email notifying them when agendas and/or minutes are added to the website may do so by clicking the "Agendas and Minutes" link above.
Anyone wanting to address the City Council should contact Christina the Friday before the meeting by noon. If you are scheduled on the agenda the Council will be able to address your issue that night. Public comment is also available at the beginning of each meeting. This is a time when citizens can address the council regarding any issue without having to be on the agenda. The Council will not be able to make a decision that night if you speak during public comment. The matter will most likely be referred to City Staff.
